The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering expert services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it is alarmed concerning the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office committed to service the area daily. The support issue developed for intervention activities a high influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tough for that Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.
